JV Boys' Soccer Wins Columbus Tournament

The boys' JV soccer team are the 2019 Christopher Columbus JV Soccer Tournament Champions. Even more impressive, the Raiders were able to capture the title while dressing seven players from the Middle School soccer team.

In the semifinal match up vs. Columbus, the Raiders battled the Explorers to a 2-2 tie in an exciting and competitive game that had to be decided in overtime. In overtime, Gulliver prevailed over Columbus by way of penalty kicks and advanced to the tournament championship game vs. rival Ransom Everglades.

The Raiders began the title game reeling with confidence from their overtime win against Columbus. Gulliver went on to capture the championship crown with a 1-0 win as Brandon Alvarez '23 scored the game's lone goal.

In addition to winning the tournament championship, Gulliver's Cosme Salas '25 was named Tournament MVP due to his strong play throughout the tournament.
