Boys' Lacrosse Off to Impressive Start

The varsity boys' lacrosse team is off to a blazing start this season as the Raiders currently sit at 6-2, with their only two losses each coming by one goal. Head Coach Jim Piggot attributes the team's successful start to the student-athletes holding each other accountable and understanding the importance of discipline in every aspect of the game.

Coach Piggot said, "This team has all the hallmarks of being special. They are extremely coachable and disciplined, but what is most impressive is their ability to positively critique and learn from each other."

Another key contributor to the Raiders' early season success are the nine seniors on the roster whose experience and leadership are paying huge dividends. Defensively, Gulliver is led by Mathias Zelaya '19 and Zac Ruwitch '19. On offense, the Raiders are led by Nick Hassan '19 and Matteo Uccelli '19.

The Raiders expect to go deep into the playoffs and know it will be their game-to-game approach during the regular season that will prepare them to turn this aspiration into reality. The Gulliver team will travel to St. Petersburg to take on Admiral Farragut (6-3) on Wednesday.
