January 2018 Alumni Events Recap

By Director of Alumni Relations Rachele Huelsman

The Gulliver Alumni Association kicked off 2018 with entertaining activities, both near and far!

On January 13, baseball alumni from the classes of 1996-2017 stepped up to the plate at the Academy baseball field for a home run derby, softball game and BBQ. Alumni and current players battled it out to be the home run derby champion. In the end, Pedro Pages '16 was the winner! View photos from the Alumni Baseball Game & Tailgate on Facebook. Gulliver Travels hit Los Angeles with an alumni networking event at Prank, LA's first walk-up bar, located in the burgeoning Downtown neighborhood. Alumni from the classes of 1994-2017 caught up and learned what's new at Gulliver. Gulliver Travels takes place in different cities, and is an opportunity for us to reconnect with alumni outside the Miami area. Our next installment will take place in Atlanta!

On January 25, Ben Riestra '91 hosted an alumni networking lunch at The Lennar Foundation Medical Center at the University of Miami. Gulliver President Cliff Kling welcomed alumni from the classes of 1983-2005, who networked, exchanged business cards and chatted with fellow Raiders. The event was sponsored by Wheels Up, Justin Firestone '95, and The Queen's Flowers, Richard Perdomo '04. Enjoy photos from the Raider's Edge Networking event here.
