Lauren Garbett '19 Earns Silver Knight Honorable Mention Nod

Gulliver is proud to announce that Lauren Garbett '19 earned an Honorable Mention nod in the Business category at The Miami Herald Silver Knight Awards. Lauren was honored for her academic excellence and community service in a ceremony held on May 16 at the James L. Knight Center.

The Miami Herald Silver Knight Awards program honors outstanding high school students in Miami-Dade and Broward counties who strive for exceeding academic goals and a drive for bettering their communities. Gulliver has celebrated consecutive winners in recent years, as Alessandra Maggioni '17 was victorious in 2017 in the Speech category and Andrew Boas '16 won the World Languages category in 2016.

Gulliver boasted eight nominees for the 2019 Miami Herald Silver Knight Awards, one of the nation's most highly regarded student awards programs:

Art: Elizabeth Vair '19

Athletics: Elizabeth Perez '19

Business: Lauren Garbett '19

Drama: Kelly Ann Cosentino '19

General Scholarship: Karan Mirpuri '19

Mathematics: Alexandra Ayala '19

Science: Julio Baigorri '19

Vocational Technical: Caitlyn Landsom '19
