Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is made up of thousands of gifts from Gulliver’s loyal parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends. In 2011-2012, gifts exceeded $600,000. Donors’ commitments have enabled the school to be innovative while supporting the most fundamental elements of the Gulliver experience including academic programming, student activities and resources, student life, facility construction and campus beautification.

The Annual Fund consists of donations resulting from solicitation mailings to all constituents, Booster Club donations, revenues from school-sponsored special events/fundraisers including the Swim-A-Thon, Raider Challenge: Golf Classic & Tennis Tournament, and Signature Event, and all other donations made during the fiscal year that are deemed repeatable and replaceable on an annual basis.

Annual Fund donors support new classroom tools and technology upgrades, facility construction and campus beautification,  student activities and resources, academic programming and athletic equipment. Additionally, undesignated gifts by donors enable Gulliver to put funds to work according to the school’s most pressing needs.

YOUR GIFT supports all Gulliver students. Your annual fund gift sets a tradition of giving which we hope our current students will adopt as they enter our alumni ranks, supporting the next generation of Gulliver students. 

YOUR GIFT helps increase our participation goal, which is essential for Gulliver when we apply for grants from corporations and foundations.  The strength of annual giving shows the strength of our school.

What is the difference between a designated and an undesignated gift?

An undesignated gift allows the school to use your gift in the areas of greatest need to enhance support of current operations. Donors can also designate the use of a contribution to a specific program or area.

How can I increase the impact of my support through a matching gift?

Many companies and foundations will double or even triple the value of charitable gifts made by employees and their spouses, board members, and retirees. Find out if a particular company or foundation has a matching gift program.

Is it really important to support the Annual Fund every single year?

Yes! In fact, consistent giving is so important that Gulliver created a giving society to honor its most loyal Annual Fund donors. Lifetime membership is granted to those who have made a contribution to Gulliver Schools of $25,000 or more.

What is the deadline for making a contribution?

Each year's Annual Fund campaign ends on June 30th.
