Giving Opportunities

When you make a gift to Gulliver Schools you have tremendous flexibility in determining how the funds will be used as well as many options for making a gift.

Your generosity will make a difference in the lives and work of Gulliver students and educators today and in the future no matter how or how much you give!

Click each link below to learn more about the opportunities you have to support Gulliver Schools in the area of your choice.

Annual Giving

Annual giving is the most important fundraising priority at Gulliver Schools. Tuition covers only the basics of the school’s operating costs. The impact of annual giving on the school budget is critical to maintaining Gulliver’s tradition of excellence. Fundraising resources are used to address equipment and facility needs, enhance program development, attract and retain an excellent faculty and staff, as well as build and plan for the future.

It runs annually from July 1st through June 30th and consists of the following areas:

  • The Annual Fund
  • Endowment Funds
  • Building Projects/Campaigns

Endowment Giving

Endowment giving is unique in that it establishes a permanent fund that provides perpetual, annual support for Gulliver Schools. Gulliver is committed to building its endowment to help develop and ensure the school’s long-term financial security. Endowment fund donors may decide to designate their gift to one of the established endowments or inquire about initiating a new one.

Initiating a new endowment has a threshold amount of $25,000 which enables our benefactors to create a lasting legacy in their name or in the name of someone they wish to honor or memorialize. The initial gift of $25,000 or more will never be touched, and since it is invested, it will grow each year. Only interest income from the endowment will be used for the purpose you designate.

For more information on endowment giving, contact the Office of Advancement at 786.709.4081

Named Endowments

General Endowment: Established with proceeds raised from the 50th anniversary gala; supports the school’s general operations

Joseph A. Krutulis Memorial Endowment: Established by the Krutulis family and past parents; supports students that qualify for tuition assistance

Faculty/Staff Endowment: Established with proceeds raised from the 2008 “Tropicana Nights” fundraising event; supports faculty and staff salaries, recruitment, and retention.

Building Projects

Gulliver Schools is constantly involved in a self-evaluation process to ensure that our students are receiving the best education in the best facilities. To this end, Gulliver Schools raises funds to construct new buildings, enhance current facilities, and continually improve our program offerings through increased and updated technology projects.

Building Projects

Gulliver Schools has several major building and capital projects in progress, along with many proposed projects, designed to complement and enhance the exceptional educational experience our students receive. The direction and timeline for completion of our major building projects is currently donor driven, with a goal of raising the majority of the required funds prior to commencing construction.

We depend on fundraising to support construction costs associated with capital projects and to cover expenditures beyond general operations. Many of our capital donations are received in the form of a pledge in which donation payments are spread over multiple years. There also are several naming opportunities available for each project.

Gulliver expresses its sincerest appreciation to all who have contributed to a capital project. Without your support, capital projects would not be possible. Please contact Ted Milford, senior director of advancement, or call 786.709.4081 for additional information.
