Giving Opportunities

Gulliver offers a full menu of giving opportunities. When you make a gift, you have tremendous flexibility in determining how the funds will be designated.

Click each link below to learn more about the opportunities you have to support Gulliver.

Annual Giving

Annual giving is one of the most important fundraising programs at Gulliver. Tuition covers only the basics of the school’s operating costs. Fundraising resources are used to address equipment and facility needs, enhance program development, attract and retain an excellent faculty and staff, as well as build and plan for the future.

It runs annually from July 1 through June 30 and consists of the following areas of giving:

  • Annual Fund
  • Endowments
  • Capital Projects/Campaigns
For additional information on Annual Giving Opportunities, please contact the Office of Advancement at 786.709.4081.

Endowment Giving

Endowment giving is unique in that it establishes a permanent fund that provides perpetual, annual support for Gulliver Schools. Gulliver is committed to building its endowment to help develop and ensure the school’s long-term financial security. Endowment fund donors may decide to designate their gift to one of the established endowments or inquire about initiating a new one.

Initiating a new endowment has a threshold amount of $25,000 which enables our benefactors to create a lasting legacy in their name or in the name of someone they wish to honor or memorialize. The initial gift of $25,000 or more will never be touched, and since it is invested, it will grow each year. Only interest income from the endowment will be used for the purpose you designate.

For additional information on named endowment giving, please contact Ted Milford, senior director of major gifts, at 786.709.4074.

Named Endowments

General Endowment: Established with proceeds raised from the 50th anniversary gala; provides support to the educational programs at Gulliver.

Joseph A. Krutulis Memorial Endowment: Established by the Krutulis family and past parents; supports students that qualify for financial aid.

Faculty/Staff Endowment: Established with proceeds raised from the 2008 “Tropicana Nights” fundraising event; supports faculty and staff salaries, recruitment, and retention.

For additional information on named endowments, please contact the Ted Milford, senior director of major gifts, at 786.709.4074.

Capital Projects

Capital Projects

Gulliver has several proposed building projects designed to complement and enhance the exceptional educational experience our students receive.  The direction and timeline for completion of our major building projects is currently donor-driven, with a goal of raising a minimum of 80% of the required funds prior to commencing construction.

We depend on fundraising to support constructions costs associated with capital projects and to cover expenditures beyond general operations. Many of our capital donations are received in the form of a pledge in which donation payments are spread over multiple years.  There are several naming opportunities available for each project.

Gulliver expresses its sincerest appreciation to all who have contributed to a capital project. Since the inception of the advancement office in 2007, millions of dollars have been generously contributed by our community in support of approved capital projects. Without your support, capital projects would not be possible. For additional information on capital projects, pleaes contact Ted Milford, senior director of major gifts, at 786.709.4074.

Matching Gifts

Gulliver encourages its donors to pursue matching gift opportunities with their employers. These gifts are often a way to greatly multiply your generosity through your employer. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Find out if your company has a matching gift policy here. Complete a Matching Gift Form from your company's Human Resource Office and return it along with your pledge card and your gift.

For additinal information on matching gifts, please contact Meredith Feder, senior director of advancment, at 786.709.4081.

Planned Giving

Planned Giving is a process of charitable, legal, financial and tax planning that enhances your philanthropy and enables you to address other financial and estate planning issues while making a gift.

Planned gifts include life income plans (pooled income funds, annuities, and remainder trusts), as well as lead trusts, bequests, real estate, tangible personal property, closely held stock, life insurance, and gifts of a remainder interest in a home. Each gift option offers various benefits.

For more information or for assistance in exploring the various options and your personal benefits, please contact Ted Milford, senior director of major gifts, at 786.709.4074.

Honorary and Memorial Gifts

As a donor, you have the ability to pay tribute to someone special by specifing an honorary/memorial designation to accompany your gift.

For additional information on honorary and memorial gifts, please contact Meredith Feder, senior director of advancement, at 786.709.4081.
