Gulliver Middle School fields a full interscholastic athletic program for students in Grades 6 - 8 for fall, winter, and spring seasons. In the fall, tackle football is available for 6th - 8th graders. The 6th grade team provides an environment where smaller athletes have the experience of tackle football without competing against bigger, older athletes. Besides football, Raider boys have teams in cross country, swimming, and golf. Girls may join teams to compete in cross country, swimming, cheerleading, and volleyball. These younger athletes have the chance to compete against athletes from other schools.
Winter sports include basketball and soccer for both boys and girls. 6th grade boys participate in a basketball program with a limited schedule against other schools with 6th grade teams from Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
The spring is the busiest season for athletics, with girls’ teams in softball, track and field, water polo, and tennis. Spring sports for boys include baseball, lacrosse, water polo, track and field, and tennis. 6th grade boys participate in a baseball program with a limited schedule against other schools with 6th grade teams from Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
The Middle School Athletic Program is designed to develop athletes for the future by preparing them for successful competition at the Prep level and beyond.
