Eighth graders Matias Ortiz, Jonas Levin, and Juan Luchsinger took home the top prizes in the Annual Student Artist Showcase of the Beaux Arts Festival. Matias Ortiz received First Place in Graphics. Jonas Levin and Juan Luchsinger were Finalists.

Now in its 66th year, the goal of the Beaux Arts Festival is to promote appreciation of the arts in South Florida. The students competed against other high school and middle school students from both private and public schools in Miami-Dade County. Their art, along with the work of winners from different categories, will be on display this Saturday, January 14 and Sunday, January 15 at the Lowe Art Museum as part of the 66th Annual Beaux Arts Festival of Art.

Artists from different mediums attend the Festival of Arts every year, making it an enriching experience for all. This year there will be artists specializing in 3D sculpture, glass, jewelry, and more. There is no cost to attend. The festival offers live music and family entertainment along with dining options.
