Alumnus Brings Contemporary Style to Prep Dancers
Gulliver alumnus, Elizabeth Alvarez (‘07), who holds a bachelor of fine arts in Dance from Texas Christian University, visited the Preparatory School and shared her professional experience with Ms. Gerri Barreras’ advanced dance class. Ms. Barreras has incorporated the visiting artist master class program into the dance department at the Prep and invites working professionals who have been associated with Gulliver to conduct a class. The class was able to pick up the style and choreography given by Elizabeth, who is currently a member of the Von Howard Project; a contemporary dance company based in New York. The students were thrilled to work with a former student/dancer and current dance professional.
