Gulliver Schools is proud to acknowledge and congratulate Alexander Ades, Michael Elgart, Yuto Ezure, Alexandra Hernandez, Emily Martinez-Lanza, Matthew Multach, and Lauren Traitz for being selected as finalists in the 2010 National Merit® Scholarship Program.
More than 1.5 million juniors in nearly 21,000 high schools were entered in the program by taking the 2008 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying test (PSAT/NMSQT®), which serves as the first step in the yearly screening process. The nation-wide pool of finalists included the highest scoring students in each state.
To become finalists, students must possess an outstanding academic record throughout high school, be endorsed and recommended by the school principal, and earn SAT scores that confirm the student’s earlier qualifying test performance. The National Merit Scholarship® Awards will be presented in the spring of 2010.
